Duplex apartment characterised by warm and colourful spaces, for a joyful and cosy atmosphere. It is located in the heart of Palermo, a few steps away from Piazza Politeama and Teatro Massimo, one of the biggest opera houses in Europe.

Casetta Basile is a cozy apartment, situated on the first floor of a Liberty-style building from the beginning of the 20th century, that spreads over two levels. On the lower level there is a dining room, decorated with wallpaper with floral patterns in blue tones that match the opposite wall, and furnished with a large wooden table where to enjoy delicious meals. The kitchen comes with a wall table and two stools, and is fully equipped, also with an oven. The bedroom has the same relaxing nuances of blue, fitted with a queen-sized bed, a wardrobe and a dresser. On the same floor you will find a full bathroom with shower tub.
Walking up the wooden stairs, you will reach the mezzanine floor where a living area has been created, provided with a comfortable sofa and a TV. Handcrafted furnishings have been inserted in the apartment making it original and unique, as do the particular wooden panels of the stairs or the shelves at both sides of the bed.
TV and air conditioning for the hottest Sicilian days complete the apartment.

Our apartment is located in a central area of Palermo, rich in shops (a few steps from the shopping street of Via Dante) and connections with buses to move around or to get to the popular beach of Mondello. Piazza Politeama and Teatro Massimo are at 15 minutes walking distance, while Castello della Zisa and Villa Malfitano only 10. Furthermore, only a few minutes will take our guests to get to Cantieri Culturali della Zisa, a reference point for cultural events, and the elegant Villino Florio.

A few steps away from the apartment there is the train station Palermo Lolli, perfect for travelling to the central station of the city. You will also find the bus stops of the transfers from/to the airport. Before your arrival we will send you more information on places to go, what to see and taste. Please do not hesitate to ask!

The beautiful historic context where the flat is located perfectly matches the distinctive internal design and the local handicraft coming from Palermo’s artisanal boutiques, where tradition and design meet and bring back to life items from the past, such as the unique coat hangers furnishing the apartment. Our guests will find a queen-sized bed in the romantic mezzanine, a sofa bed in the colourful living room and a full bathroom with shower. Palermo, one of the most beautiful cities of art in the country and the capital of Sicily, offers the wonder of UNESCO heritage sites that can be visited in the city's four historic quarters. Tourists can take part in the 'Baroque itinerary of Palermo' to visit the city's main monuments, such as the Church of the Santissimo Salvatore, the Church of Santa Maria del Monte Oliveto and the Church of the Conception. The city also offers the opportunity to take part in the 'Tour of Palermo's Historic Markets' that will allow guests to explore the markets of Ballarò and Capo, where lunch or a snack, at the Palermo market, dishes must be 'strictly' tasted with just the help of the hands! This tour will also give tourists the opportunity to admire important buildings, streets and squares.

Palermo's central station is about 6 km from the accommodation, while Palermo Falcone e Borsellino airport can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car.

Beautiful 60 sqm apartment in the center of Palermo, located in an elegant building in the center of the most chic street in Palermo and behind Via Principe di Belmonte.
The colors of the walls and the floor give brightness and largeness to the rooms, where some typical elements of the liberty buildings of that area are still visible, such as the very high ceilings and the doors and the very large windows, as well as the the ceiling in the bedroom.
A long corridor opens onto the well-equipped kitchen with table and chairs, and the bathroom with shower and washing machine. Next to it is the bedroom, very spacious and large with a French size bed, sofa bed, TV, table and armchair. In the bedroom, large windows give brightness to the house, as does the access to a small balcony. Inside the house you will find many elements of local craftsmanship to break the linearity and classicism of the furnishings.
The view is internal and the house is very quiet.

The apartment is located in an elegant building in the center of the most chic street in Palermo and behind Via Principe di Belmonte, a pedestrian street. The side street leads onto Via Ruggero Settimo, the city’s luxury shopping street par excellence. In Via Principe di Belmonte there is also the famous Spinnato coffee, one of the oldest in Palermo.

The central train station, the end of the line of all trains and buses from the airport, is about 2 km away. From the same station, many buses also lead to places such as Mondello or Monreale.
